What our travelers say
Hotel Jedermann sits just behind Munich's central train station, which means groups can drop bags and be on a U-Bahn platform within minutes of arrival. That logistical advantage comes up repeatedly among group leaders and tour directors who have worked with this property — the proximity to transit keeps school groups moving efficiently, which matters when you're trying to squeeze a full Bavarian itinerary into a few days. The surrounding neighborhood is utilitarian rather than picturesque, so don't expect a postcard view from the window, but as a base of operations it is hard to beat. Inside, Jedermann leans into an older, traditional character — think classic rather than contemporary. Tour directors describe a slightly worn atmosphere in the common areas, though they're consistent in noting that the property is clean and well-maintained throughout. The staff earn particular praise across the board: genuinely warm and accommodating, with a willingness to sort out logistical hiccups like last-minute room adjustments without making it a production. Breakfast gets strong marks as well — substantial enough to fuel a long day of sightseeing, and a clear highlight for group leaders who have stayed here. At three stars, this is an honest, no-frills property that delivers on the fundamentals without pretending to be something else. It suits student and teacher groups who prioritize central access, reliable cleanliness, and helpful staff over design-forward rooms or resort-style amenities. Groups that need to move around Munich efficiently — museum days, river walks, day trips to Neuschwanstein — will find the location alone worth the trade-offs. Smaller honors groups or adult travelers with flexibility on budget might weigh the neighborhood feel against other options, but for a standard school tour program, Jedermann is a practical and consistently well-regarded choice.

What group leaders & tour directors say

ExcellentGroup Leader· March 2024· BAV
Great location with clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was also enjoyable.
ExcellentGroup Leader· March 2024· MUP
The hotel was clean and well located, with an amazing breakfast and incredibly friendly staff.
ExcellentTour Director· March 2024· BAV
Located backstage of the Central Station district, this old-fashioned property felt a bit worn but was clean. Staff were very friendly and arranged an extra single room at low cost. The location requires transport rather than walking, and both the overall value and breakfast fell below our other hotels on this tour.
GoodTour Director· March 2024· MUP
The location is convenient, breakfast is excellent, and the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful.
