What our travelers say
The Belvedere Hotel earns consistent praise from group leaders and tour directors who have stayed there, and for good reason. Sitting on Great Denmark Street, it puts groups within easy reach of Dublin's city centre, and that convenience is something our travelers mention again and again. Beyond location, the cleanliness and size of the rooms stand out — multiple group leaders have noted that the rooms are notably larger than a three-star property typically delivers, which matters when students are sharing space after long days on the road. Breakfast gets high marks too, with evaluators describing the spread as a genuine highlight rather than an afterthought, and the on-site conference space has proven genuinely useful for orientation sessions and pre-tour briefings, with staff willing to rearrange the setup when groups needed a different layout. That said, a few practical things are worth knowing before you arrive. Some rooms are not equipped with climate control, which can be uncomfortable during warmer months — something to flag with the hotel in advance if your travel falls in late spring or summer. On the operational side, a small number of groups have encountered minor coordination issues around wake-up calls and luggage handling, the kind of hiccups that are manageable but worth a heads-up to your tour director so expectations are set. The shower temperature has also run hotter than expected in certain rooms, so a quick word with front desk on arrival can sort that out before it becomes a disruption. Overall, the Belvedere is a solid fit for school and student groups looking for a clean, well-located Dublin base that won't feel cramped. The friendly and accommodating staff make it easier to manage the moving parts of a group itinerary, and the combination of good breakfast, generous room sizing, and a workable meeting space gives trip leaders the infrastructure they need. Groups that travel light on expectations and heavy on city exploration will find it does the job well.

An incredible location, beautifully clean rooms far larger than expected, and outstanding breakfast options. The conference room was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to help reconfigure the setup when needed.

ExcellentTour Director· April 2024· DAEP
The rooms were great and breakfast was excellent.
GoodGroup Leader· May 2025· XJC
Check-in was quick and well-organized, with all rooms ready on arrival. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and staff were friendly throughout. However, several rooms lacked temperature control, making sleeping uncomfortable for some guests.
GoodTour Director· March 2024· ZHC
Great hotel with a fantastic dinner show. A few operational hiccups: showers ran scalding hot, early wake-up calls went to the wrong group, and a clearly labelled equipment case took considerable time to locate despite being in plain sight behind reception.
