What our travelers say
The Divani Acropolis earns consistently enthusiastic marks from our group leaders and tour directors, and the reasons tend to cluster around the same few things: location, breakfast, and the feeling the hotel gives a group from the moment they walk in. Parthenon Street puts travelers within easy reach of the ancient city, and multiple group leaders describe the positioning as something that genuinely elevated the whole program — not just a convenient address, but a base that made Athens feel accessible and immediate. The hotel's entrance and lobby-level experience also make a strong impression; one group leader noted the grand lobby and exceptionally warm bellhop staff left the kind of memory that students talk about afterward, while another said the entrance made the entire group feel like they'd arrived somewhere special. Breakfast is a recurring highlight across nearly every evaluation, praised not just for quality but for variety and generosity — the kind of spread that sets a group up well before a long day of sightseeing. Rooms come up as clean and comfortable across the board. There was one isolated air conditioning hiccup mentioned, and another group experienced a couple of middle-of-the-night disturbances that were more bad luck than policy — both groups noted they would return without hesitation. The rooftop bar and the pool surface as genuine bonuses, particularly for summer programs when a cool-down at the end of a full day in Athens heat carries real value. Views of the Acropolis from the property are a draw that needs no embellishment. The Divani Acropolis works well for a wide range of student and teacher groups — large enough to handle the logistics of group check-in and bag storage during transition days, and polished enough that chaperones and parents come away impressed. Groups traveling in spring tend to appreciate the location most; summer groups lean heavily on the pool and rooftop. Either way, this is a hotel our travelers consistently say they'd come back to, which in a city as demanding on logistics as Athens, matters considerably.

The breakfast was great and the location is excellent.
ExcellentGroup Leader· May 2026· YJSS
The common spaces were excellent. Check-in across all hotels was smooth, and though rooms weren't immediately accessible after the cruise, bag storage was readily provided.
ExcellentTour Director· May 2026· YJSS
Breakfast stood out as exceptional, and rooms were spotless throughout. One room experienced a minor AC issue, but overall the stay was excellent.
ExcellentGroup Leader· March 2026· GREP
The location was amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was impressive. Staying in the city at a hotel we genuinely looked forward to returning to made a huge difference in the overall experience — even parents said they'd come back.
ExcellentGroup Leader· April 2025· XAW
One of the nicest hotels seen on a group tour. The lobby is enormous with great luggage storage, the breakfast buffet is outstanding—including an actual honeycomb—and the bellhop staff are exceptionally friendly and memorable.
ExcellentGroup Leader· March 2025· XRSP
Great hotel in a perfect location. Breakfast was excellent each day, and the rooms were very nice.
