Nine days split between Rome, Sorrento, and Athens form the backbone of Classical Exploration, a tour built around the idea that Western civilization has two distinct birthplaces — and that students should see both before they form any fixed opinions about either. The arc is deliberate: three full days in Rome to absorb the layers of the Republic, the Empire, and the Church; a transit through the southern Italian coast via Sorrento; then two full days in Athens to stand at the source of democracy, philosophy, and classical architecture. By the time your group boards the flight home, the Pantheon and the Parthenon will occupy the same mental neighborhood, and the comparison will do more academic work than any textbook chapter.
