What our travelers say
Das Tigra earns its place as one of Passports' preferred Vienna properties through a combination of things that matter most to group travel: a central first-district address, smooth logistics, and the kind of hospitality that makes adult travelers feel genuinely welcomed rather than processed. Group leaders who stayed here in 2025 consistently highlighted the hotel's elegant, refined atmosphere—this is a property with real character, not a generic business block—and praised the breakfast as a standout offering. Small touches, like candy jars and complimentary drinks in the lobby, were noticed and appreciated, signaling the kind of attentive service that sets boutique properties apart from larger chain hotels. On the operational side, tour directors were quick to point out something that seasoned group managers know to value: the coach can pull directly in front of the property for easy loading and unloading. In a city like Vienna, where narrow streets and restricted access can turn a simple departure into a logistical headache, that detail alone saves real time and stress. The Tiefer Graben address puts the group within easy walking distance of the Innere Stadt's major sights, meaning less time on buses and more time exploring the Hofburg, the Graben, or the Ringstrasse. Das Tigra is best suited to adult groups and honors-level student travelers who will appreciate the boutique scale and polished surroundings. It is not a sprawling conference hotel, so very large groups may find the intimate setting a tighter fit—but for groups that want Vienna to feel like Vienna, rather than an anonymous airport corridor, this property consistently delivers. Our travelers have rated it among the stronger options in the city, and the feedback suggests it's worth returning to.
