What our travelers say
Hotel Rott sits on Malé náměstí, a short walk from the Astronomical Clock and the heart of Prague's Old Town, and group leaders returning from multiple programs name that location as one of the strongest assets in the city. Waking up with the Old Town Square essentially on your doorstep means less time on transit and more time in the streets, markets, and landmarks that make Prague worth the trip. Several group leaders noted that the hotel's position gave their groups a genuine front-row seat to Czech daily life from the moment they stepped outside. The breakfast earns consistent, enthusiastic mentions across nearly every evaluation — not as a throwaway pleasantry but as something travelers specifically singled out, with one group leader calling it the best of any hotel used across an entire multi-country itinerary. Rooms and bathrooms are described as spacious and well-kept, with a few travelers highlighting the small detail of heated bathroom floors as a genuinely welcome touch. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly, proactive, and knowledgeable — the kind of team that offers local lunch recommendations rather than just checking you in. Luggage logistics, which can be a real friction point for groups staying near pedestrian zones, have been handled smoothly, with van transfers running efficiently and without stress for leaders or participants. Two things worth knowing in advance: rooms facing the square can pick up street noise, though the hotel provides earplugs as a matter of course; and single-supplement rooms are noticeably smaller than doubles, with skylights rather than windows, so leaders should set expectations accordingly when communicating with solo travelers. Hotel Rott is a strong fit for student and teacher groups that want to be immersed in Prague rather than commuting to it. The combination of a central Old Town address, attentive service, and a hotel team experienced with group logistics makes it a reliable choice for school tours where time, energy, and a smooth operation matter as much as the room itself.

The location is outstanding, just steps from the astronomical clock. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and the heated bathroom floors are a lovely touch. Breakfast and front desk service were both excellent.

Great location with friendly, helpful staff, lovely rooms, and a wonderful breakfast.
ExcellentGroup Leader· June 2025· ZVMS
A fantastic hotel with an outstanding location, delicious breakfast, and great rooms and bathrooms. Porterage from bus parking was a highlight. Note: single-supplement rooms were noticeably smaller, with single beds and skylights only—not on par with double rooms.
ExcellentGroup Leader· June 2025· XJHS
Perfectly located in the square by the church with the astronomical clock, offering a front-row view of local life. Breakfast was great, rooms were very clean, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating, even removing minibar alcohol from student rooms.
ExcellentTour Director· June 2025· XJHS
Everything was great. The luggage van transfers are working well and the process has noticeably improved.
