Trip delay
Up to $100/day for meals and accommodations during delays of 5+ hours, when the airline isn't already covering it and Passports hasn't already arranged it.
Trip interruption
Up to $1,000 toward flights home if illness or injury cuts your trip short. Plus up to $1,000 for airfare for a family member who needs to join you for medical reasons, and up to $1,000 for early return due to death or serious illness in your immediate family.
Medical expenses
Up to $5,000. Direct billing on the spot in most destinations, or reimbursement on receipt — documents submitted within 30 days of your return.

Every traveler — with or without an optional Peace of Mind plan — gets the cancellation windows below. These apply whether you’re withdrawing for a family reason, a school conflict, or a change of plans.
Window 01
> 105 days before departure
Cancel for any reason; receive a full refund minus a $620 cancellation fee. Service fees (e.g. credit-card fees) are non-refundable.
Window 02
104–30 days before departure
Cancel for any reason and receive a 75% refund. No insurance required — this is universal to all Passports travelers.
Window 03
< 29 days before departure
No refund unless you've added one of the optional Peace of Mind plans below.
