This nine-day journey traces a sweeping arc through three of Central Europe's most storied landscapes — from the medieval lanes of Rothenburg ob der Tauber to the Swiss shores of Lake Lucerne, with the Alps threading through nearly every day in between. The tour moves with purpose: the half-timbered towers of Rothenburg give way to Munich's broad boulevards and beer-hall culture, then the road climbs into Innsbruck before crossing into Switzerland, where the scale of the mountains shifts from impressive to genuinely humbling.
