Suggestions for using our lesson plans over summer break
With summer vacation coming up in the next few weeks, we wanted to put out a couple of suggestions on how teachers and students might use the lesson plans we’ve created here at passports.
Teachers use the summer to assess what worked this past year and what didn’t.passports lesson plans can help prepare teachers for next fall. Written by veteran educators who’ve been in the classroom, our lesson plans all contain primary sources and links to relevant websites on the subject being covered. Teachers can use them as they see fit. It’s like going to a workshop on your own time. If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know. We’re here to help.
High school students, especially those going into AP or Advanced classes, often have summer reading in preparation for the fall. Many of our lesson plans cover the material students will be reading this summer. Some of our lesson plans are even based on specific books such as All Quiet on the Western Front, The Sun also Rises and Candide, all three of which are on the AP recommended reading lists. Students can get a copy of the lesson plans to help them in understanding what they’re reading.
Just a couple of suggestions. Feel free to let us know if you have any others.
