3 Ideas for Your Next Group Tour

choosing a faculty-led tour

Faculty-led group tours are shorter, affordable for most families, and provide a travel abroad opportunity for more students. Here are our five favorite itineraries but there are many more to choose from. Pick one of ours, or design your own!

1) History or art teachers -- choose our Venezia, Firenze, Roma! tour for the best overall experience of Italy including art, history and architecture. Not only that, but the food is fabulous! Using trains instead of a long motorcoach drives, this action-packed tour gives the traveler a classic Italy experience. Two nights in Venice, two in Florence, and two in Rome, with guided walking tours in each city. An excursion to Pisa, a visit to an authentic Italian leather workshop, and of course the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's round out the program. One of our most popular! Rome's colosseum

2) Language, history or any other interest -- opt for London to Paris. This tour provides just the right combination of time in an English-speaking country to get acclimated (don't forget the traffic is on the opposite side of the street, though!) before venturing forth into the real deal: Paris, the European continent, and all things French. One of the best parts? The high-speed Eurostar train from London to Paris, still a thrill since it was opened in 1994. Notre-Dame de Paris

3) Spanish or science teachers -- You don't need to cross the pond, you can go south instead... to Costa Rica. Here, it's not necessarily about the art and architecture, but more about the land and nature. Rain forests, waterfalls, beaches, and even zip lining for the more adventurous groups.
