Days 1-2: Home - Barcelona
A dream materializes as your wide-bodied jet thunders off the airstrip, Europe-bound! Watch the sun rise up to meet your airplane, after a short night. Spain glides by beneath your airplane in shades of sienna. Land in Barcelona, the vibrant capital city of Catalonia and one of the world's cities at the forefront of commerce, fashion, technology, cuisine and the arts.
Get set to discover the vibrant capital city of the ancient kingdom of Catalonia. Note its elegant 19th-century boulevards, parks and fountains.

Day 3: Barcelona City Sightseeing
Barcelona City Sightseeing
The tour will introduce landmarks such as the wide avenues called Las Ramblas, the medieval Gothic Quarter around the cathedral, Modernist landmarks such as the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, and Plaça de Catalunya, the lively heart of Catalonia's capital city.
A half-day local guide, well-educated and specially-trained on the history and culture of the region, will accompany your group.
Montjuïc Hill
You'll go up Montjuïc Hill for a panoramic view of the city, the colorful harbor district, and the Mediterranean coast.
Visit to Parc Güell
Enjoy a visit to Gaudí's most colorful creations on exhibit in Parc Güell, notably the mosaic-decorated pavilions and the cavernous Room of a Hundred Columns.

Day 4: Cava Cordoniu, Danone Factory
Cava Cordoniu
Enjoy the morning at Cava Cordoniu. This business is the oldest family-run business in Spain, dating back to 1515, and exports its 15 renowned brands worldwide. The group will get a tour of the vineyards, followed by a talk from the marketing team, responsible for developing one of the world’s leading wine brands.
Danone Factory
In the afternoon, head over to the Danone Barcelona Dairy Factory. On your visit to one of the world’s leading dairy businesses, the group will discover how their products are prepared and packaged before being exported across Europe.

Day 5: Picasso Museum, Flamenco Show
Visit to the Picasso Museum
You will visit the Museu Picasso, housed in 15th-century twin palaces, with works of the artist's Blue and Cubist periods on display.
Flamenco show
Tonight, enjoy an evening of traditional entertainment. The poet Federico García Lorca called flamenco "the most gigantic creation of the Spanish people." You will long remember its complex and insistent rhythms, castanets, and clacking heels as the highlight of your trip to Spain.

Day 6: Car Factory Tour, Excursion to Montserrat
Car Factory Tour
This morning, head to The Car Factory. During a 30-minute presentation from the talent acquisition team, the group will learn more about the day-to-day of the team that produces 21,000 units per day and exports to 75 countries worldwide.
Excursion to Montserrat
Enjoy a visit to Catalonia's holiest place, the Monastery of Montserrat, located amidst the serrated peaks of the Montserrat mountain range. Montserrat has served as a place of pilgrimage since the 12th century. After being destroyed by the French in 1811, the monastery complex was rebuilt and repopulated in 1844 and now includes quaint shops and cafés.
Visit to the Basilica of Montserrat
You will enter the Basilica to view La Moreneta (Black Virgin). This revered statue, said to have been carved out of wood by St. Luke around 50 AD, has been on the mountain since it was rediscovered in 880 AD after being hidden from the Moors.

Day 7: Camp Nou Soccer Stadium Tour, Dinner Cooking Class
Camp Nou soccer stadium tour (subject to availability)
Visit Barcelona's soccer stadium, the Nou Estadi del Futbol Club Barcelona (Camp Nou), which was built in 1956 with 98,800 seats. A visit is included to the stadium's FCB Museum, which illustrates the history of soccer and the achievements of the world-class Futbol Club Barcelona, also called Barça.
An audioguided tour will take you through the visiting team's room, the press room and through the tunnel onto the field.
Cooking class with dinner
Join a professional chef around a kitchen counter and learn tips and tricks as you prepare typical Spanish dishes. ¡Buen provecho!

Day 8: Estrella Damm Brewery, TV3 Television
Estrella Damm Brewery
Experience a morning trip to visit the Estrella Damm Brewery. During your visit to the brewery, the group will be given a tour and presentation by the imports and exports department, on the export of their 20 brands to 85 countries worldwide.
TV3 Television Visit
Enjoy some free time for lunch, before your afternoon visit to TV3 Television. At TV3 Television, the group will get an insight into the primary television channel for the Catalan region.

Day 9: Natural Machines, Port of Barcelona
Natural Machines
Enjoy a morning walk to Natural Machines, a food technology company who develop and manufacture 3D food printing machines. During this visit they will be met by the CEO for a demonstration of the technology and a talk on the start of the company and on entrepreneurship, followed by a Q & A session.
Port of Barcelona
After some free time in Tech City Pier, the students will continue on to the Port of Barcelona, where they have a presentation and Q & A session about Europe’s fastest growing port.

Day 10: L'Eixample Walking Tour, La Sagrada Familia
In the company of a local guide, make your way to L'Eixample, a district developed in the 19th century north of Barcelona's old city.
Visit to the Sagrada Familia Basilica
Visit the extraordinary-looking basilica whose construction was planned in the 1870s. Antonio Gaudí worked for more than forty years to create a unique and huge sanctuary still far from completion. The Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia combines elements of Gothic architecture and the tenets of the Modernista movement associated with Gaudí.
View Passeig de Gràcia
Enjoy a stroll along the main avenue in L'Eixample, which has become one of the most expensive pieces of real estate in Barcelona. Passeig de Gràcia is famous as a shopping venue and business location, and for its architecture.
View the Block of Discord
See the Illa de la Discórdia, an area which owes its name to three striking buildings designed by three prominent architects of the Modernist period, in styles that have been said to clash with one another and their surroundings.
Visit to Casa Milà
An audioguided tour will introduce this apartment building designed by Antonio Gaudí in 1906. Also called La Pedrera, it's known for its curves and fantastic rooftop and is one of Barcelona's best-known UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
In the afternoon, visit the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for a guided tour. Discover how a race is organized and controlled, see where mechanics work and access the briefing room, podium, press room, race control, lounge, boxes and the paddock.
Spend some time exploring Barcelona's atmospheric Barri Gòtic, where you can hunt for treasures in its stylish boutiques.

DAY 12: Barceloneta Beach
Relax at Playa de la Barceloneta, the city's #1 beach, where favorite pastimes are swimming, sunbathing, and sipping refreshments at a beach hut. Have your picture taken below Frank Gehry's shimmering Goldfish sculpture.

Depart Barcelona
