Upon landing at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, you’ll be greeted by Passports staff and transferred to your centrally located hotel. Take some time to relax and soak in the unique charm of the city, where cobblestone streets, colorful facades, and the aroma of fresh pastries create an unforgettable first impression.

Tour Director-led Walking Tours, such as:

  • Lisbon’s Historic Center - Step into Lisbon’s rich past and dynamic present with a walking tour through its most iconic districts. Explore the Baixa and Chiado neighborhoods, where grand plazas and elegant shops set the stage for the city's lively atmosphere. Wander through the maze-like streets of Alfama, one of Lisbon’s oldest areas, where the sounds of Fado music drift from local cafés.

  • Photo Opportunity at Miradouro de Santa Catarina - Pause at this stunning scenic overlook, offering breathtaking views of the Tagus River, 25 de Abril Bridge, and the Cristo Rei statue in the distance. It’s the perfect place to capture Lisbon’s skyline at golden hour.

This evening, join Passports staff and fellow group leaders for a delightful welcome reception. Enjoy Portuguese delicacies, engage in lively conversations, and start building connections with other educators.

Day 3: Training Conference, Free Time, Dinner

Group Leader Training Conference
Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, our group leader training conference can provide an invaluable opportunity to network with other group leaders and learn from their experiences. Attendees can expect to receive plenty of practical advice on everything from itinerary planning to dealing with difficult travel situations. If you're serious about becoming a successful group leader, our travel training conference is a must-attend event.

Enjoy Afternoon Free Time
Spend a relaxed afternoon discovering the effortless charm of Lisbon at your own pace. You might choose to explore the narrow, cobbled lanes of the Alfama district, shop for Portuguese ceramics, cork goods, or azulejos in local markets, or stop for a pastel de nata at one of the city’s iconic cafés—especially the world-famous Pastéis de Belém. Soak in the views from scenic miradouros, ride the historic Tram 28, or visit Castelo de São Jorge for panoramic vistas across the terracotta rooftops. For a modern twist, head to the LX Factory, a lively creative space filled with restaurants, boutiques, and colorful street art. However you spend your time, Lisbon offers the perfect blend of history, culture, and laid-back beauty to enjoy at your own pace.

Dinner in Lisbon
Enjoy a delicious Portuguese meal at a local restaurant, where perhaps you might sample classics such as Bacalhau à Brás (salt cod with eggs and potatoes), grilled sardines, or the famous pastel de nata for dessert.

Day 4: Optional Excursion (TBD), Free Time, Farewell Dinner

Optional Half-Day Excursion (TBD)
A half-day excursion is planned, but the final destination is still to be determined. This will be a fantastic opportunity to step outside Lisbon and experience more of Portugal’s stunning landscapes, historic towns, or coastal beauty.
Possible Excursion Ideas:

  • Sintra & Cascais – Explore the fairytale town of Sintra, home to Palácio da Pena, one of Portugal’s most iconic landmarks, and stroll through the scenic coastal town of Cascais.

  • Évora & Alentejo Region – Visit the UNESCO-listed Évora, known for its well-preserved medieval center, Roman temple, and famous Chapel of Bones.

  • Arrábida Natural Park & Sesimbra – Enjoy breathtaking coastal views, visit a local winery, and explore the charming fishing village of Sesimbra.

The excursion selection will be finalized as the conference approaches, ensuring a memorable and logistically smooth experience for the entire group.
