I've traveled with EF about 5 times. After my last tour with them, I'll never use them again. Once I traveled with Passports-- I realized there was a difference with companies.
EF really does not do a great job in getting hotels that met my expectations in regards to quality and safety as well. The last time we went with EF, they put us in a London hotel where the rooms were filthy. My bedroom sheets had urine stains on them and my room was in a basement with no windows during the warmest part of the summer there. The hotel would not move me to another room and rolled their eyes at me when I showed them the sheets with the urine stains. There were gunshots during the night on the street outside of the hotel on our first night and the second night there was about 25 teenage boys fighting and throwing broken glass bottles at each other. Though we never experienced that sort of thing on any other tour--the hotels routinely were never good and always way out of the way. Honestly--you get what you pay for with them. The low tour price comes with a heavy price to pay in quality and safety in my opinion. I won't use them again. It was a nightmare. Passports might cost a little more--but, I'll gladly pay a little more to NOT have that scenario as a part of my tour ever again.
