Teacher Travel Messageboard: France trip with Laurent

France trip with Laurent

Posted by Mrs. Jill Engle on 06/24/2007

After taking almost ten days to recoup from the intense and life-changing Passports trip to France I want to take a minute to acknowledge the efforts of our `tour guide,' Laurent on his tireless display of professionalism, enthusiasm, flexibility, and deication to making our school trip seem more like a passage into a historically respected culture than an eight day excursion. It was obvious from the start that he is passionate about his career/profession as well as compassionate with everyone that he meets. He has the soul of a minister and the expertise of a scholar. Passports is truly lucky to have such a talented professional on board, and we were enriched by his involvement with our group. Even now my daughters still talk about him with adoration, and I am forever grateful for his knowledge, demeanor, generosity, and patience as he educated all 27 of us, ranging in age from 15 to 60. He is one of a kind. As my girls declare almost daily, he is `Wicked Awesome!' Mrs. Jill Engle
