TravelPak trip coverage plan offers more protection, and costs less, than similar plans
offered by other student travel companies.
Plus, you get a free backpack.
General Description:
The TravelPak benefits package conveys high-option life, health, and accident insurance, and trip interruption/cancellation coverage.
TravelPak also carries coverage for political unrest in a city to be visited. This coverage applies only upon receipt of your written cancellation following an event deemed a "terrorist incident" in a foreign city to which you were scheduled to arrive within 45 days following the incident, and the issuance of a formal "travel warning" by the U.S. State Department, specifically warning against travel to that overseas city, which warning is issued within 45 days of the scheduled arrival of the tour in that city.
The full package is automatically billed to all clients (who may decline the coverage in writing), at a cost of $129 (6-12 day tours), $139 (13-18 day tours), or $149 (19 day and longer tours). Group organizers over 21 years of age are covered at no cost.
Coverage becomes effective only upon payment in full of all travel program fees. Once purchased, the TravelPak package is non-refundable. Once declined in writing, travelers cannot purchase the TravelPak package.
Backpacks will be sent to TravelPak participants before departure, and only upon payment in full of all travel program fees.
Life and health insurance policies are underwritten by The American International Group, Inc. Additional liability insurance protecting all group organizers, teacher-counselors and
co-teacher-counselors is provided by the Connecticut Indemnity Company and
the General Star Indemnity Company.
