We took the overnight train from Paris to Italy in January. We got a compartment that slept two..one upper and one lower. Luggage space is tight, but do able. One interesting thing...if you take this train, it leave Paris around 7 pm...around one a.m. start looking out your window and see the most fantastic castle perched on the mountainside...it's all lit up and unbelievable! Also, expect to still be "swaying" until the next day...have a great trip

: We are interested in how the overnight train from Paris to Italy is for those of us who might be a little claustrophobic. I am told that there are 6 people per car. What are the sleeping arrangements in each car - three berths on each side? What about space for luggage? Thanks, Paula
