Canterbury is definitely worth the trip. It is a quaint town steeped in history and literature and great shopping! The Tales museum is a little hokie, but our honors kids enjoyed the good laugh when we were there in April.
Definitely have the kids have about 20 GBP with them to tide them over to a cash machine. Advocate for the use of debit or travel cash cards rather than traveler's checks. Much easier and better exchange rates.
Enjoy the trip. Passports did a wonderful job with our excursion. We can't wait to do another tour.
