DONNA SAID: I have traveled with and without the aid of student travel agencies. I highly recommend you travel independently. You will have more fun, more money, more flexibility, more refundability in the event of cancellation and most importantly, the students will learn more about travel because they will be involved in more decisions.
: Have a great trip!

LUPO ANSWER:
Hi Donna,
Im an Italian videomaker and I did make videos for Passports also and I did travel with american students and teachers in Europe. My experience with them made me learn that we saved hours because our hotels, restaurants, bus, tickets, local guides were already booked. And I didn't mentioned how additional time we saved thanks to the knowledge of our personal tour guide. He knew for example other languages, if you are in Germany, France or wherever, only few people can speak English.
If you travel alone, it can be ok without the aid of student travel agencies. If you have a group of kids you must have some help if you don't want to get crazy.
