My name is Howard Walters. I taech world history at a private school in Front Royal Virginia. I returned on Sunday, March 31st, from a fantastic trip. I took 5 students,(middle school), and 4 parents, on a 9 day tour of England, We spent 5 days in London and 4 days in Edinburgh. We toured numerous areas in both London and Edinburgh and spent a great deal of time shopping. At no time were we threatened by anyone or felt any anyone would bother us. There were many schools groups from many countries, in London also. I feel parents can be reassured by the increased security at both our airports, and the airports in Europe. England has been dealing with terrorism for many years and has great security procedures in place to protect people from terrorist attacks. I feel people need to take common sense precautions when going on a trip, and this includes driving to a large city in the U.S. Lastly; if we let terrorists prevent us from doing the things that we enjoy, then they have won. I look forward to next years trip and hope that Americans do not let the terrorists think they have defeated us!
