Hi Michaelann,

Thank you for your posting regarding credit
card payments. I understand that our accounting
manager spoke with you by telephone on this topic
yesterday, as well.

Passports does indeed accept credit card payments.
Credit cards are accepted, online only, for
the initial trip deposit.

Travelers wishing to pay for the remainder of the
tour by credit card may do so by way of a
credit-card check, available through their
credit card company. The traveler would contact
their credit card company, and have a check drawn
from their credit card account. The check would
be made payable to Passports. Then, the traveler
would be able to pay off the check withdrawal
monthly in the same manneer as any credit card
charge.

As a special courtesy, Passports offers
interest-free trip financing through its
"Convenience Billing" program. Upon acceptance,
travelers will be billed monthly in an
amount equal to the balance of all fees divided
by the number of months remaining until the
applicable final payment deadline date
(December 2, 2002 for spring departures,
March 1, 2003 for summer departures). Inclusion
in the "Convenience Billing" program is automatic
for all travelers.

We hope we have satisfactorily addressed your
concerns, and we look forward to having you on
board with Passports next June!

: Does anyone else feel strange about a company not accepting credit card payments? I have adults on my trip who want to just put it on their card and this is not Passports policy. Other companies seem to take credit card payments for trips... I really want to travel with Passports but this is a real sticking point for my group. Any comments?
