Scholarship for summer 1998 travel to France for h.s. senior

Hi!
My upcoming senior (1998/99)wants to travel to France
in June of 1998 with her French class.
Problem (1) trip costs $3,000
Problem (2) single parent earning a secretary's salary
doesn't have anywhere near that amount of
funds in a bank account.
Are there scholarships available to high school students
to travel abroad in the summer months.
Thanks to anyone out there who can help me.
